1. When will my order ship, and how long does shipping take?
Please allow 7–14 days for your order to ship after it's placed. Most orders head out much sooner! Because our products are handcrafted in small batches, we occasionally need to make a fresh batch just for your order. Good things take a little time, and we promise they're worth the wait!
2. Where do you ship?
We proudly ship to all 50 United States, including Alaska and Hawaii! At this time, we do not offer international shipping (including Canada) or shipping to U.S. territories.
3. What is your return or refund policy?
If you're experiencing an issue with your order, we're here to help! Please email orders@girlsgonerawpet.com with a description of the problem so our team can work with you directly to find a solution.
For safety and quality reasons, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for opened or partially consumed products. Depending on the situation, we may ask you to donate or safely dispose of the product rather than ship it back.
4. What should I do if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
We'll make it right! If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please contact us at orders@girlsgonerawpet.com with the details. Our team will work quickly to resolve the issue and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

5. What makes Girls Gone Raw different from traditional dog treats?
Unlike mass-produced treats, ours are handcrafted in-house in micro-batches, using fresh, locally farmed or human-grade meats. No preservatives, no unnecessary additives, and no mystery ingredients. While many large manufacturers rely on lengthy supply chains and warehouse storage, we focus on fresh ingredients, small-batch production, and getting quality treats into your dog's bowl. Real food. Real nutrition. No junk.
6. Are your treats raw, cooked, or dehydrated?
Our treats are either low-temperature air-dried (dehydrated) or freeze-dried! These gentle preservation methods remove moisture to create shelf-stable products while helping retain naturally occurring nutrients. No high-heat cooking or unnecessary preservatives, just simple, minimally processed carnivore nutrition.
7. Where do you source your ingredients?
The vast majority of our ingredients come from small, family-owned farms throughout the Midwest. We prioritize farmers who share our commitment to responsible animal husbandry, humane handling, and ethical processing. When local sourcing isn't possible, we choose high-quality, human-grade meats instead. We believe that knowing where your food comes from matters, even when it's for your dog!
8. Do your products contain preservatives, fillers, or artificial ingredients?
Absolutely not! We're committed to using whole-food ingredients that serve a nutritional purpose. You'll never find synthetic additives, fillers, meat meals, artificial flavors, texturizers, or chemical preservatives in our treats. Just real, recognizable ingredients and pure carnivore fuel.
9. How should I store your treats, and how long do they last?
Our treats are made fresh in small batches and generally have a shelf life of 6–12 months, depending on the product. For everyday storage, keep them in their original packaging (yes, even our paper bags!) in a cool, dark, dry place like a pantry or cabinet.
For larger items or longer-term storage, we recommend transferring them to a moisture-resistant, airtight bag or container and placing them in the refrigerator or freezer. Always check the product's best-by date and keep treats protected from heat and humidity.

10. Are dehydrated bones safe for dogs?
When appropriately sized for your dog's chewing style, dehydrated bones can be a great option for species-appropriate chewing and enrichment! We carefully select the bones we offer and use controlled, low-temperature dehydration rather than traditional high-heat cooking.
However, no bone is completely risk-free. Even dehydrated bones can fracture, splinter, or pose choking and dental hazards. Always choose appropriately sized chews, supervise your pet, and remove any pieces that become small enough to swallow whole.
11. Is it safe for dogs to eat fur, feathers, and other animal parts?
Absolutely, for many dogs! Fur, feathers, and other animal parts are natural components of whole prey that are often overlooked in modern pet nutrition.
Fur and feathers contain keratin and provide largely indigestible material that can contribute roughage to the diet. They're also a fantastic source of species-appropriate sensory enrichment, encouraging natural chewing, tearing, and foraging behaviors that traditional treats rarely offer.
While fur is sometimes described as nature's digestive pipe cleaner, its proposed mechanical cleansing and anti-parasitic effects haven't been well established in dogs. As with any natural chew, introduce these items gradually and supervise feeding.
12. How do I choose the right treats and chews for my dog?
Start small and know your chewer! If your pet is new to natural treats and chews, introduce simpler options first and pay attention to their chewing habits.
Does your dog chew carefully, or are they a notorious gulper? Dogs that tend to swallow large pieces may do better with appropriately sized, boneless options under close supervision. For puppies, we recommend starting with softer, smaller, boneless treats while they develop safe chewing habits.
13. Are your products suitable for puppies, senior dogs, or cats?
Yes! We offer options for pets of all ages, but the best choice depends on the individual animal, their chewing strength, dental health, and feeding habits.
For puppies, seniors, or pets with weaker teeth, consider softer, boneless options such as appropriately sized tracheas or rabbit hides, always taking their chewing style into account. Hard chews can damage teeth, so avoid anything your pet cannot comfortably chew.
For cats, try our thin-sliced jerkies, freeze-dried treats, or appropriately sized whole-prey options like quail chicks. Always supervise and introduce new foods gradually!
14. Can dogs with allergies or sensitive stomachs enjoy your treats?
Absolutely, depending on their individual sensitivities! Our simple, limited-ingredient treats make it easier to select products without unnecessary additives.
For sensitive stomachs, start with small portions of a familiar protein and consider simple, boneless, hairless options such as beef trachea, if beef is well tolerated. Introduce one new treat at a time, gradually increasing portions as your dog's digestive system adjusts.
For pets with known food allergies, always check the full ingredient list and avoid their specific triggers.

15. How can I change my shipping address?
Need to update your address? Please contact us directly via email, text, or social media message!
While we're working to improve our system, changing your address under the "My Account" tab will NOT automatically update the shipping address on your subscription orders. To make sure your crate finds its way to the right doorstep, please reach out to our team before your next shipment!
16. What's the difference between the two crate sizes?
Our Carnivore Crates come in two sizes: Snack and Feast! The biggest difference is the total value and variety of goodies included in each shipment.
The smaller Snack Crate typically features smaller chews, making it a great fit for little dogs or lighter chewers. The larger Feast Crate includes at least one heavy chew and several medium-to-large chews, making it especially well suited for bigger dogs or more enthusiastic chewers.
Both sizes are packed with the same commitment to quality, variety, and species-appropriate enrichment!
17. Can I customize my crate for allergies or preferences?
Absolutely! When you first sign up, you'll be prompted to tell us about your pet's allergies, preferences, and chewing habits.
We use this information to help hand-pack a crate tailored to your individual pet. The more details you share about their likes, dislikes, and dietary needs, the better we can personalize their monthly goodies!
18. When do Carnivore Crates ship, and when is the ordering deadline?
Carnivore Crates ship between the 14th and 16th of each month!
To receive the current month's lineup, make sure your subscription is placed no later than the 14th. Any orders placed after the 14th will automatically roll over to the following month's crate.
19. Can I skip, pause, or cancel my subscription?
Of course! We know life happens, and flexibility matters.
To skip a month or move your next shipment to a specific date, simply email us at orders@girlsgonerawpet.com, and we'll take care of it for you.
If you'd like to cancel your subscription indefinitely, you can manage that directly through the "My Account" tab at the top of our website.
